Airgeek A1 is a complete air quality monitor for Home & Work use. Its revolutionary fanless design allows for completely silent operation and a long battery life. Together with our free Airgeek app, it helps you improve the quality of the air you breathe. Made of real wood and glass, our devices look amazing and won't be an eyesore.

Breathe Better with the Airgeek App

Knowing your air is just the first step—the goal is to make it better. Airgeek comes with a completely and forever free app which helps you to improve your air at home and in the office. It works like this:

  1. Collect data. Airgeek measures all of the aforementioned air quality parameters in regular intervals. It stores data in memory and produces long-term statistics.

  2. Analyze. The Airgeek app downloads and analyzes the data via NFC. If any parameter falls outside of the healthy range, it suggests how to keep it in line.

  3. Change your behavior. Follow the app's advice. Often, a small change is all that's needed to make a big improvement.

  4. Did it work? The results should be clearly visible in a week or two. Validation is an important step in every scientific experiment.

  5. Keep at it. Check your device every now and then to understand how the quality of your air changes with time and to keep it in check.

Using the Airgeek app with Airgeek A1

Connectivity & smart home integration

Airgeek supports the two most popular[1] IoT connectivity standards for Home use: Matter over Thread, and Zigbee[2]. It will work with Apple Home, Google Home, HomeAssistant and other Smart Home apps and hubs. This allows you to use precise measurements to control your Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment.

  1. Based on the results of a survey we did among the participants of embedded world 25 (n = 81). The connectivity preferences were: Matter over Thread (25 %), Zigbee (23 %), NFC (21 %), data display only (12 %), other (19 %).

  2. Work on Zigbee and Matter is now in progress. Our devices will be certified for Matter over Thread and Zigbee by the CSA.

Revolutionary design with no moving parts

Airgeek is the world's first complete air quality monitor with no moving parts. All other devices currently on the market utilize a fan-based PMX sensor.

Airgeek A1 integration of the BMV080 sensor

Airgeek instead relies on the BMV080, a revolutionary sensor developed by Bosch Sensortec which counts particles flowing freely in the ambient air—basically a tiny dust radar. It uses a safe, invisible infrared laser and collects laser backscatter from the particles as they fly by.

Airgeek was designed from the ground up to respect you and value your attention.

  • Our app doesn't send any notifications and requires no permissions.

  • Airgeek A1 makes no noise as there are no moving parts, unlike traditional fan-based monitors.

  • The large 80 mm (3  in.) always-on LCD is easy to read from across the room. No need to reach for your smartphone.

Battery operated & extremely power efficient

To get reliable measurements, it's vital to choose the right place for your device: not too close to where you are, but not too far either. That's much easier when you're not constrained by access to power sources nearby.

To give you this flexibility, we designed Airgeek as a battery-operated device, and we managed to squeeze one full year of operation out of a single high-quality AA battery. A great deal of engineering went into making this possible.

The Hardware

60 % of the cost is in the sensors—where it belongs. You won't find any cheap parts inside our devices. We are serious about the hardware and proud to show it off.

Airgeek A1 PCB

  1. Matter over Thread + Zigbee radio module by STMicroelectronics.

  2. PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 sensor made in Germany.

  3. Low-power CO2 sensor made in Sweden.

  4. Atmospheric pressure sensor made in Germany. It allows for precise pressure compensation of all readings.

  5. NO2 and CO sensors made in the USA.

    Note: The prototype shown uses a CO sensor made in Japan. The NO2 sensor is stacked above and is not shown.

  6. Temperature/relative humidity sensor made in Switzerland. We're using one of the most accurate sensors for temperature and humidity available.

  7. Single high-quality AA battery (optional 2nd battery).

  8. NFC chip and antenna used with the Airgeek app.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

All Airgeek devices come with a limited 5-year warranty. To avoid any future misunderstandings, we encourage you to read the full Terms and Conditions, which are the legally binding terms.

In a nutshell, the warranty covers any functional issues that the device may develop over time, any issues due to poor workmanship, and any material and manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover intentional damage or cases when the device was used outside of its operating window, such as in extremely high or low temperatures, in extreme humidity, etc.

Our philosophy

We took the business practices we don't like and decided against them:

  1. No subscriptions. We make money by building and selling hardware. We won't force-feed you yet another subscription you don't need. The device and the data it collects are yours and yours only.

  2. We don't compromise on the hardware. We take no joy in building products that are cheap and subpar. We wanted to build the best air quality monitor possible and we think we did.

  3. You have the right to remain offline. All online features and integrations are completely optional. NFC is used for communication with the Airgeek app, allowing the radio to be disabled permanently.

  4. We don't sell you out. If anything gets stored on our servers, it's encrypted so that even we can't read it. Our apps have no telemetry. We don't track you and we don't sell your data.

  5. We aim to remain a small and efficient company. That way, we don't have to squeeze every last bit of revenue from our customers, and our interests can remain aligned with yours.
